About Chris Jerrey
My practice brings together photography and environmentalism.
It is my intention to address the urgency of the climate crisis and examine the complexity of the responses to this existential threat to humanity.
My work is informed by contemporary scientific and sociological research into both the physical nature of climate change and its impact on human actors. Themes that inform my work are; the relationship with science, progressive and conservative politics, social justice, environmental degradation and the role of culture.
The work is contemporary and digital in nature, bringing together images and web technologies to maximise my storytelling possibilities.
Currently, I am studying an MA in Photography at the University of Falmouth.
